Vision of Sound
I have been working on a project for photographer, journalist and friend Georgina Cook this autumn on her podcast Vision of Sound, which explores the crossroads where art and music meet through documentation and expression. The conversations she has had with photographers and artists about their engagement with music have very often ended up being discussions about culture and community – and where they intersect.
In a recent episode Georgie spoke to Seana Gavin, who’s words about her time spent at, as well as documenting free parties were as full of warmth and colour as her images are. I have spent a lot of time relentlessly living in the present recently, listing to this conversation I was taken either side of that – and given fuel and hope for the future.
